India Tested Supersonic Cruise Missile BrahMos today

Missile race is counties in sub-continent region and today India test fired an advanced version of the supersonic cruise missile BrahMos in Orissa from a defense base, according to the official sources. The BrahMos missile is a joint cooperation of India’s Defense Research and Development Organization and Russia’s NPO Mashinostroyen and it’s named on Brahmaputra (India) and Moskva (Russia) rivers. The missile has capacity to take around 200-300 kg conventional warheads up to range of 290 km (180 miles).
According to the Indian sources, the missile was tested from the Integrated Test Range of Chandipur in Balasore district, which is 230 km from state capital Bhubaneswar. The sources also added that this missile will boost the capacity of the country defense system. According to the director of the test range S.P. Dash “the missile test was fantastic and it met the all mission requirement” which mean the test was successful and was tested at the range in the eastern state of Orissa. According to the sources it was the first test fired in 2004.
